The Work Before
The Wow
Long before a piece makes an entrance, there is a pattern to consider, fabric to handle, and a table full of possibilities. Shanté brings those choices together one thoughtful detail at a time.
Shanté studies a pattern for what it could become: adjusting a line, reshaping a detail, and thinking about how the finished piece will sit and move on a body.
Then comes the fabric. A print, a texture, a shimmer can suggest a shirt, a jacket, or an entire look before the first cut. Sometimes that vision starts with finding a fabric; sometimes it means exploring a print made for the idea.

Before The Outfit
There’s A Possibility
The Maker · The Pattern · The Fabric
Shanté first picked up sewing at six years old. In high school, a handmade stuffed pig became the first item she sold. That early experience grew into a passion for custom pieces that can be paired with one another to create expressive outfits.
Her story is also rooted in caring for her family. When her mother’s diabetes complications led to the amputation of her toes, Shanté began exploring organic and natural approaches to support her mother, her family, and herself. That personal search is part of the story behind Therapeutic Dandy and the care she brings to creating.
How do you want to feel in your piece? Where are you going, and what statement do you want to make?
Shanté cares about how a piece fits your identity and the place you want to wear it. Her family supports her while she follows that creative process—from the first possibility to something you can feel fully yourself in.
